One of the most talked-about topics in the health and wellness industry over the past decade has been CBD. For some people, it’s become an essential part of their everyday lives, while others are still unsure of what it even is and why it’s become such a hot topic of conversation. Some become wary when they hear the word “cannabis” and perhaps assume it’s the same thing people have been smoking to get high – which, by the way, is not the case. THC is the psychoactive ingredient that gives you the “high”, not the cannabinoid. If you’re keen to learn more about how CBD works, you should read our blog.
Then, there are people like myself who had heard about it, read about the benefits, but never actually tried it. Until now.
I’m Rosie. Your customer liaison manager at Real CBD Club. When I started this role around six months ago, I was so excited to try our CBD products. I’d come to learn all about the way CBD works, I learned about the different strains of CBD that are sold and how Real CBD club offer a full spectrum, high-quality product.
For me, I had wanted to try CBD to see if it would help me with my mood, anxiety, and pain relief caused by inflammation. However, people around the world are using it for a whole variety of things. There is a whole spectrum of benefits to using CBD for treating issues such as;
- Pain and inflammation
- Epilepsy
- Anxiety and depression
- Addiction management and treatment
- Inflammatory skin conditions
- Neuroprotection
- Relief from chemotherapy side effects
- Insomnia
I’d done my research and learned that there are some people who, like me, had suffered from anxiety and decided to try CBD oil to treat the anxiety naturally. I’d heard that CBD was a great alternative treatment and that it was genuinely helping people overcome their struggles with anxiety. I have previously had bouts of anxiety come and go throughout my twenties, so I was very curious to see if CBD could really help me manage it.
In regards to the CBD oil, once my bottle arrived, I started my routine with two drops under the tongue every morning. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the taste knowing it’s an earthy natural product, and for some, it can taste a little bit potent at first. But honestly, after a couple of days, the strong taste didn’t bother me at all. If it did, I would have sneaked it into smoothies or drinks like some people prefer to do, but I didn’t feel the need to.
I also decided to try the Real CBD pain balm, because I wanted to see if this would help me physically too. I occasionally suffer from bursitis and tendinitis in both of my knees. If you have ever had either of those, you’ll know that it can be really painful. The only option I was given from my GP was anti-inflammatories, though that wasn’t ideal for a long-term fix.
Again, I wanted a more natural approach, and I am so glad I got to try the pain balm because it has definitely helped me. The Gold CBD oil and the CBD pain balm have come to be handbag essentials for me. They’re the products I take everywhere. Here’s how I used both of these products:
Pain and inflammation
When I’ve had a flare-up in my knees, I’ve applied a small amount of the pain balm and noticed that over time, the inflammation calms down and so does the pain. A little bit goes a long way with the pain balm, so I used just enough to cover both knees. It has a potent earthy smell, as you can imagine from a strong natural product – and personally, I like it! I’ve been using the pain balm regularly for flares over the last three months and I still have two-thirds of the pot left!
Anxiety
At the time I started taking the CBD oil, I was also coming off my anxiety medication. This was a long, drawn-out process and I was in the last month or so of gradually coming off it. I was a little bit wary that my anxiety levels would creep up during this time, but they didn’t. I was taking CBD oil every day, my moods were calmer and it was as if I’d never come off the anxiety medication. I can only assume that other people were right about what they were saying – CBD is a great natural aid for anxiety.
Disclaimer: I’m no health professional or medical expert, and I’m aware of the fact that every person’s biochemistry is different. So, if you are considering taking CBD products for mental health issues, speak to your GP or a medical professional before coming off any medication.
Sleep
I was also in a great sleep routine. Being self-employed, sometimes it can be hard to make sure you’re going to bed at a reasonable time and getting up at a decent hour. But since using the CBD oil, I was in a consistent sleep routine. Some people prefer to take the oil before going to bed for this reason. Though for me, I chose to take it in the mornings.
Menstrual Cramps
One of the benefits I didn’t even consider was treating pain relief from menstrual cramps, but low and behold… Real CBD came through! I noticed that what would usually be an extremely painful couple of days each month was…absolutely fine! Mild cramps and no need to clutch onto a hot water bottle for dear life. Winner!
I’m only at the beginning of my CBD journey, but I can already say that I can see why people are passionate about making it a part of their lifestyle. At Real CBD club, we’ve made sure to include all the important questions and topics as a part of the blog to help you get a better understanding of the products you use and how to implement them into your everyday routine.
