As CBD Oil continues to grow from a ground-breaking product to a health and wellbeing phenomenon we are starting to see more variations.
In this opinion piece we analyse if this is a good or bad thing.
Plenty of CBD Products out there
The great thing about CBD Oil is that with fast pace the supplement is penetrating the health and wellbeing market. Meaning that companies are jumping at the chance to integrate it with new and innovative products.
You can get a range of day to day products now with CBD ingredients thrown in – usually in four main forms:
- Vaping – Easily the quickest to feel effects with. Scientists aren’t entirely sure of the benefits or long term effect here.
- Tinctures – The most popular and recommended on the market. Comes in drop form meaning you can start with a recommended dose then increase steadily to suit your needs.
- Capsules – Another fast mover in the market, similarly to the drops these are recommended highly, albeit at a fixed dosage.
- Edibles – Quickly growing this is the likes of chocolate, lozenges and sweets. These are restrictive in dosage and can dilute concentration/effects.
Jumping on the bandwagon
As you can see there’s an embarrassment of riches when it comes to choosing how/where you get your CBD oil from.
However the problem is there’s now become a point where companies are slapping a ‘CBD Oil’ label on everything. Infused pillows to chewing gum, beer and even CBD water.
The issue here is that companies are taking a chance on hijacking the authentic uses of CBD Oil listed above and bringing the new food supplement market into disrepute.
On top of this, without a clear read on dosage levels/concentration then things like chewing gum and cooking recipes with CBD thrown in makes it difficult to understand what dosage works, and, again leaves the reputation of recommended products slightly tarnished.
Knowing your stuff
This is why it’s important to know what you’re paying for when it comes to CBD based products. A reputable distributor will have a model of transparency in place with the correct dosage and source info to boot.
With that in mind, it’s important to keep updated and informed before making a decision. Reading forums, blog posts, research etc which will guide you on a CBD Oil choice that works for you.
